H. Ray Hix, Jr.
Co-Founder and Principal
After practicing law, Ray Hix partnered with Haymes Snedeker to form Hix Snedeker Companies. Together they spent the next ten years financing and developing single-tenant and multi-tenant projects through in-house design and construction. Ray heads new business development while coordinating and financing projects. He has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Ray enjoys aviation, mountain sports and travel. He and his family reside in Fairhope, Alabama.

Haymes Snedeker is a seasoned commercial real estate developer, attorney, and civic leader with more than two decades of experience in originating, structuring, and executing retail and multi-family developments across the United States. As Co-Founder and Principal of Snedeker Companies, Haymes has led the development of over 5 million square feet of commercial real estate across 22 states, serving as a preferred developer partner for national credit tenants including Tractor Supply Company, Dollar General, Circle K, Zaxby’s, Advance Auto Parts, and Dutch Bros.
He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi. He has served for more than 20 years as the Municipal Judge for the City of Fairhope, Alabama, reflecting a long-standing commitment to public service, integrity, and community trust.
In addition to his business and legal career, Haymes is a distinguished amateur golfer with a nationally recognized competitive record. As a senior at Franklin Road Academy in Nashville, Tennessee, he won the 1993 TSSAA State High School Championship. He went on to win the Metro Nashville Municipal Amateur four times. At the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), he was a standout member of the men’s golf team, earning All-SEC honors, NCAA All-America Honorable Mention, and recognition as the first Academic All-American in Ole Miss golf history, reflecting a rare combination of athletic excellence and academic achievement.
Following college, Haymes continued to compete at the highest levels of amateur golf, qualifying for multiple USGA Championships, including two (3) U.S. Amateurs, two (2) U.S. Mid-Amateurs, the U.S. Public Links - advancing to the Round of 16, and the 2026 U.S. Senior Open where he finished 38th as the only amateur to make the cut since 2023.
Haymes remains an active competitor in premier amateur and mid-amateur tournaments while also serving as a steward of the game through hosting the Snedeker Memorial, a national mid-amateur tournament honoring his parents, Larry and Candice Snedeker.
Haymes resides in Point Clear, Alabama, with his family.
